The lessons focus on the communicative teaching of the language. They emphasize language acquisition through meaningful learning situations that align knowledge with the development of skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand sentences and expressions related to areas of immediate relevance; they will be able to communicate in simple daily tasks that require a straightforward and direct exchange of information on familiar topics; and they will also be capable of describing, in simple terms, aspects of their background, environment, and areas of immediate need.

Vacation Courses for Children Ages 5 to 12
In our vacation courses, children can have fun while learning English. They will also be able to play and make new friends. Activities include crafts, recipes, karaoke, outdoor games, dancing, and much more.

Note: Courses are offered mid-year and at the end of the year.

  • Enrollment becomes effective only three business days after the tuition payment has been made.
  • Paying your tuition receipt in advance increases your chances of selecting a preferred schedule. Please note that seats are limited.
  • Keep in mind that the start dates of classes are established for the entire year in the Institute of Languages calendar.

If you already have knowledge of the subject, you may enter a higher level through the Institutional Placement Exam. To do so, the student (or the parent/guardian if the student is a minor) must:

    Request the Examen Institucional de Clasificación (Institutional Placement Exam) at any of our campuses or by email: ilrecep1@uis.edu.co.

    Receive instructions

    If you submitted your request by email, you will receive the instructions for taking the exam through the same channel.

    Placement result

    After taking the exam, you will receive an email with information about the level you are eligible to enroll in (check your SPAM folder).

    Enrollment and payment

    Once the placement process is completed, proceed with enrollment and payment receipt generation.
